Principal Investigators (PIs) have particular responsibility for the staff that they supervise, as well as responsibility for compliance with policies and regulations related to the safe and ethical conduct of research.
Research Compliance
The ANR Guidelines to Research Compliance for Principal Investigators contains information regarding a PI's responsibilities for safety and environmental protection standards on pages 36-43.
ANR Principal Investigators receive an automatic e-mail from the UC Learning Center when they need to take or refresh their training for research compliance or ethical values and conduct.
