Adjusting or Purchasing Furniture

ANR Staff at UCOP

If you are located at UCOP and need to purchase ergonomic equipment, please follow these steps:

1. Please take the ergonomics assessment on Risk & Safety Solutions. Your results will be forwarded to UCOP Ergonomics for in-person evaluation.
2. Virtual evaluation is available if your workstation is located remotely.
3. Once you have determined which equipment you’d like to purchase, please contact Statewide Programs and Research and Extension Center Operations (SWPR) to assist you with ordering. Please share the entire item description.
*Note: If you have a Procurement Card offered by UC Davis, you may use it to make purchases directly.
4. If you have applied for Be Smart About Safety (BSAS) funding code and/or have a departmental account code that you would like to use, please share it with the SWPR team to process your purchases. If you are purchasing using your Procurement Card, please use the funding code when filing the expense report.
5. Confirm that your equipment will be delivered to your UCOP office location.

Ordering & Desk Adjustment

Please follow these steps if you need to adjust the height of your workstation desk or purchase any ergonomic products.

Desk Adjustments

  1. Please take a minute to complete an ergonomic assessment on Risk & Safety Solutions. Log-in using your UC ANR credentials.
  2. Once you have completed, we will reach out to schedule an in-person ergonomic evaluation to review your workstation situation and take measurements.
  3. When the measurement is complete, please submit a furniture adjustment ticket on AggieSurplus & Special Services. Have an account code ready for charging.
  4. The Special Services team will be in contact to schedule a date and time to make desk adjustments.
  5. Inform the Facilities about your appointment. The Special Services may require additional support.
  6. On the day of the appointment, clear out the desk to create space for the Special Services technicians. You do not have to be present at the time of the appointment.

Purchasing Furniture

  1. If you would like an in-person or virtual ergonomic evaluation, please complete an ergonomic assessment on Risk & Safety Solutions.
  2. After the ergonomic evaluation, you may also visit UC Davis Ergonomics to test out additional furniture or ergonomic products that are unavailable at UC ANR. Please email ErgoTeam@ucdavis.edu at UC Davis Ergonomics Lab to schedule an appointment.
  3. If you are replacing the workstation desk or adding electric risers, please fill out the furniture order form and contact UC Davis Furniture Services (furniture@ucdavis.edu) at UC Davis Design and Construction Management to get an estimate and place an order.
  4. While the furniture is on order, submit a furniture delivery/installation ticket on AggieSurplus & Special Services. Have an account code ready for charging.
  5. Inform the Facilities about your appointment. The Special Services may require additional support.
  6. On the day of the appointment, clear out the desk to create space for the Special Services technicians. You do not have to be present at the time of the appointment.

Note: If you have submitted Be Smart About Safety funding request, please provide the account code when you submit the order requests and tickets.
